Human Resources Coordinator

Starting date of position – as soon as possible

Together as a team, we at Child’s Dream are here to empower people in the Mekong-Sub-Region. We do this by working in partnerships with communities to improve the health and education of their children, youth and young adults for sustainable development.

Join our Human Resources team to provide essential HR support at our regional office. With your experience, you will independently manage HR tasks, support the implementation of HR policies and processes, and ensure smooth operations while maintaining compliance with organisational and legal standards. This role provides HR support to the Chiang Mai office and may assist with coordination of regional HR activities, without carrying direct regional responsibilities.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in implementing HR processes and practices at the Chiang Mai office
  • Provide input to the Regional Head of HR and support HR-related questions, grievances, and feedback
  • Foster a positive workplace and strong team spirit
  • Support the recruitment process and onboarding of new employees, interns, and volunteers
  • Handle screening, interviews, reference checks, job offers, and onboarding activities
  • Prepare and renew staff, intern, and volunteer contracts on time
  • Maintain accurate staff records and HR databases
  • Assist with payroll, salary changes, loan processing, and contract extensions
  • Ensure proper off-boarding procedures and securely archive records
  • Coordinate induction programmes and keep training records updated
  • Support staff care programmes
  • Ensure HR activities comply with relevant legal requirements
  • Stay updated on HR software tools and report any errors for immediate resolution
  • Provide support to staff on HR management tools, troubleshooting issues, and generating reports

We are seeking for a person who meets the following criteria:

Education and work experience

  • A strong interest in working for an NGO and to contribute to our vision and mission
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of work experience in HR field 

Hard skills

  • Strong knowledge of human resources practices, employment law, and operational management
  • Proficient in HR systems and tools

Soft skills

  • Outstanding cross-cultural communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on compassion and sensitivity
  • Ability to build and maintain strong networks and collaborative relationships with colleagues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible, positive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing HR regulations and organisational needs

Language skills

  • High-level English proficiency, able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally in an international environment
