Senior Manager Individual Giving and Engagement

Together as a team, we at Child’s Dream are here to empower people in the Mekong Sub-Region. We do this by working in partnerships with communities to improve the health and education of their children, youth and young adults for sustainable development.  

We are looking for a Senior Manager Individual Giving and Engagement to manage and maintain established donor relationships and serve as a key point of contact for donors and individuals interested in our work. The role focuses on individual giving and on impactful donor communication and engagement. This is a senior role that requires sound judgement, strong communication skills, and a high level of independence.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Play a key role in providing a consistent and high-quality experience along the individual donor journey
    • Act as a central contact point for individual donors and people interested in our work
    • Engage with donors via personalised communication aligned with our values such as thank-you emails, acknowledgements, and short follow-ups
    • Ensure project updates and reports are shared with donors in a concise and tailored way
  • Receive and accompany donors and visitors who wish to learn more about our organisation, and support meetings (in person and online)
  • Manage and maintain donor contact records in our CRM, including donation tracking and restricted funds
  • Take care of various third-party fundraising platforms and external feeder foundations that channel funds to the organisation

We are seeking for a person who meets the following criteria: 

Education and work experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in one of the following: developmental studies, communication, international relations, social science or business administration
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in donor relations, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or a comparable relationship-focused role
  • Experience in an NGO is an advantage, but not required

Soft skills

  • Strong interest in impact-driven work and genuine motivation for our cause
  • Enjoys engaging with people and communicating with donors and interested individuals
  • Confident, open, and positive personality with natural ease in interpersonal interactions
  • Comfortable with frequent communication and relationship-based work
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on clear, respectful, and human communication
  • Able to explain our work in an engaging and accessible way
  • Reliable, attentive, and committed to follow-up and continuity in relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and thoughtful communication style
  • Structured and reliable way of working with strong attention to detail

Hard skills

  • Solid IT skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Language skills

  • Excellent spoken and written English (main working language), including confidence in meetings and conversations
  • German language skills are a strong advantage, particularly for communication with donors from the German-speaking region

Travel requirements

  • Occasional travel in the region is required
